Moving Meditation & Chakra Balancing Dance
I have found on my journey through this dance that it has led me on an intense personal transformation.
Dance is not only a form of exercise and expression through music but also a path of connection to our inner-most selves; an expression of our own thoughts and feelings.
Although ATS® has it's own vocabulary of movements. This particular dance form is not choreographed but is performed entirely as improvisation. We are therefore enabled to use the steps and movements to dance in the moment - to express ourselves, as we feel in that specific time and space.
In this dance we have an opportunity to connect with the people we are dancing with on a level I have not personally found with any other dance form. We actually share ourselves and our energy with our dance partners by leading the movements, while the dancers following your every move are simultaneously connecting with our own unique energy.
My vision is to take this knowledge and this form of dance to as many people as possible and to help others to feel the energy and connection that I feel with the people that I dance with.
As well as being a fully trained and certified Fat Chance Belly Dance® teacher and Sister Studio to Fat Chance. I am also a fully trained in Reiki, Kinesiology and Chakra Balancing Therapy. A natural progression for me was to combine my knowledge of our bodies' energy centres and Chakra's with ATS.
Moving Meditation and Chakra Balancing Dance workshops use the slow movements of ATS, combined with a Chakra balancing exercise. This results in a beautiful and uplifting 'Moving Meditation', assisting the dancer to balance and build her own personal energy that is then shared with her dance partners, connecting all on a more spiritual level.
Moving Meditation and Chakra Balancing Dance was developed by myself in 2008.
